These rules and regulations have been established for the protection,
benefits, and enjoyment of all the SYC members and their guests.
The following rules must be strictly obeyed to avoid the possibility
of the pool being closed by the Board of Health.
1. Shower before entering the pool, and clean your feet if you entered
the facility barefooted.
2. No food, glass containers, or use of tobacco products are allowed in
the pool. Only plastic or paper plates and cups are permitted in the pool
area.
3. Persons with skin infections or wearing bandages are restricted from
the pool.
4. Children may swim in the pool only if they are toilet trained or
wearing waterproof swim pants as approved by the State Health Department.
5. No pets are allowed in the pool area at any time.
1. Swim at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty.
2. All swimmers with shoulder length hair must wear their hair pulled
back in a rubber band or braided, or a bathing cap may be worn.
3. Running on the pool deck and diving from the side of the pool are
not allowed.
4. Climbing over the pool fence is prohibited.
5. Children under twelve years of age must be accompanied by a
responsible adult (18 or over) who must be present and responsible for their
conduct when the children are using the pool.
1. The pool is for the use of only SYC members and their guests.
2. No one is allowed to use the pool after it closes at 10:00 pm daily.
3. Dependents using the pool may be required to show proper
identification.
4. Rules posted at poolside must be followed.
5. Members in attendance at the pool are responsible for ensuring that
all pool rules are enforced.
6. There are no facilities for the checking of valuables. The Club is
not responsible for any missing or lost articles.
7. The pool may be closed at the discretion of the General Manager or
his/her representative with the approval of the Board of Governors for
reasons of safety, health, weather, or repair.
8. State law requires that deck furniture should be kept 36 inches from
the edge of the pool.
9. Due to limited quantities, lounges, chairs and tables may not be
reserved for an extended period.
10. A portion of the pool may be reserved for special pool activities
(exercises) with prior approval of the Board.
11. Radios or cassette tape players are permitted only if they do not
offend other SYC members and their guests.
12. Members are responsible for the conduct and any damages caused by
their guests.
13. Only beverages and food purchased from the Club are permitted in the
pool area.
14. Bathers are not permitted in the Clubhouse but are allowed in the
Wheelroom with a cover garment and shoes. Restrooms and food services are
available from the pool area.
15. The general rule of the day is to use common sense, be considerate
and respect the rights and feelings of your fellow SYC Club members.
