In 1980, the SYC Forum met for the first time dedicated to the enhancement of fellowship among members of the club (women are welcomed.) Since that time, monthly luncheon meetings are held with interesting guest speakers. No fees are collected. Members and guests are welcome.
"The Old Men of the Sea" was formed in 1992 by club members with sailboats. The idea was presented to invite all men to participate and sail as crew. "The Old Men of the Sea" sail each Wednesday. All members are invited to arrive at the docks at 10 AM. Bring along a lunch and refreshments, and enjoy the day.
Bridge has been popular at the club since the early years. In 1984, Friday was established as the day for the gentlemen's bridge. All skill levels are welcome. The group meets at the bar between 11 and 11:30 AM. After lunch, contract bridge is played. A modest fee is charged for prizes and to pay expenses.
