Smyrna Yacht Club was founded in 1928. Good times, lasting friendships, and great dining enrich the lives of its members. It is a tradition that we view our members as part of an extended family.

Men or women over 21 years of age sponsored by two members with two personal references and approved by the Board of Governors.
Use of club facilities. Dockage as available. Voting for Governors, one vote per membership on matters requiring membership approval. Voting member eligible to hold office.
$7,000.00 may be paid in full with submission of application or there are two payment options available for the Initiation fee. Option one is the first payment of $3,500 with the application and the remaining $3,500 six months after application approval. Option two is payment of $3,000.00 with application, $2,200 on one year anniversary of application (12 months) and $2,200 on two year anniversary of application (24 months). All payment options require a signed Promissory note.
$1,406.00 plus 6.5% sales tax ($1,497.39) for the calendar/fiscal year 2008. Beginning in 2009 members may pay dues through an installment plan: 50% due January 1, 2009 25% due March 1, 2009 25% due May 1, 2009 All installment arrangements require a signed Promissory note.
$60.00 monthly to include SYC food and beverage charges. Members who spend less than the minimum will be billed for the $60.00 on their monthly statement.
Outer Docks: $4.50 per foot LOA with 40’ or 50’ minimum. Inner Docks: $4.00 per foot LOA with 30’ minimum. Floating Docks: $4.00 per foot LOA. Electric charges vary due to location. All charges bill on monthly statement one month in advance.

Men or women over 21 years of age and less than 45 years of age sponsored by two members and with two personal references and approved by the Board of Governors.
Use of club facilities. Dockage as available. May not vote or hold office.
$3,500.00 may be paid in full with submission of application or there are two payment options available for the Initiation fee. Option one is $1,750.00 with application and the remaining $1,750 six months after application approval. Option two is $1,750 with application and $975 due on the first year anniversary of application (12 months) and $975 due on second year anniversary of application (24 months). All payment options require a signed promissory note.

Beginning in 2009 members may pay dues through an installment plan: 50% due January 1, 2009 25% due March 1, 2009 25% due May 1, 2009 All installment arrangements require a signed Promissory note.
Upon reaching the age of forty-five, an Intermediate Member may become a Regular Member upon approval of the Board of Governors and the payment of an amount equaling the difference between what he/she paid as entrance fee and the amount then charged a Regular Member.
Members are required to spend $60.00 monthly in SYC food and beverage charges. Members who spend less than the minimum will be billed for the balance of the $60.00 on their monthly statement.
Men or women over 21 years of age who have their principal residence outside the State of Florida, and reside in New Smyrna Beach or environs for not more than six months per year. Proof of out of state residency is required. Eligible persons must be sponsored by two members with two personal references and approved by the Board of Governors.
Use of club facilities. Have all rights and privileges of regular members except dockage, the right to vote and the right to hold office.
The Initiation Fee shall be $2,310.00 which is 1/3 of that prescribed for a Regular Member and is to be paid in full with the submission of application.
Dues will be the same as a Regular Member; $1406.00 plus 6.5% sales tax ($1497.39) for calendar/fiscal year 2008.
Beginning in calendar/fiscal year 2009 dues payment may be made through an installment plan as follows:

Out-of-State Members may apply in writing for a waiver of the monthly minimum for any period of full calendar months he/she intends to be out of the state. Such member will not be charged a onthly minimum for any such period. It is the responsibility of the Out-Of-State member to promptly notify the Club Secretary of the dates Florida residency begins and ends.
Men or women over 21 years of age, sponsored by two members with two personal references and approved by the Board of Governors may apply for Summer Membership one time only.
From June 1st through September 30th Summer Members have use of club facilities. May not vote or hold office.
$650.00 is to be paid with application. If a Summer Member decides to become a Regular Member, the $650.00 will be applied to the regular membership initiation fee of $7,000.00.
There are no dues applicable for the summer term. Summer Members will be billed monthly for all food and beverage and other purchases. There is no $60.00 food and beverage minimum during this summer term.
