Smyrna Yacht Club has fixed docks and a floating dock in the inner (west) basin. The fixed docks accommodate 33 boats. The floating dock accommodates 14 boats. A second floating dock also accommodates the four club owned Precision 15 sailboats. Outer docks, on the east side of the island, accommodate 26 larger boats. Three slips are reserved for guest slips. At present, all slips are occupied and there is a waiting list for slip assignments. The south service dock has a pump out station.
All Smyrna Yacht Club members are eligible to lease dock space, if it is available. To apply, fill out a "Smyrna Yacht Club Dockage Application", which is available in the club office. Evidence of yacht insurance with a minimum liability of $300,000 and valid documentation must be provided at the time the application is submitted. The state of Florida requires that yachts residing in the state have current Florida registration.

The inner docks are along the western shore of the SYC property. The inner basin is accessible via a well marked channel (green markers to port) just south of the club. On the south end of the island there is a Tiki Hut and a Dinghy Dock. After passing these, turn north around the dock pilings and enter the basin. The "Inner Docks" are along the sea wall to starboard and the floating docks are to port. Beware of the tidal flow as you turn from the ICW into the channel. Once you are behind the island flow is minimal. The tide rises and falls approximately three feet.
Inner Dock Slips: Slips 1 through 32 can accommodate boats
with the following maximum dimensions:
Length: 38 ft. Beam: 12 ft. (total beam in adjoining slips cannot
exceed 23 ft.) Draft: 5 ft.
(Sailboats with keels up to 7 ft. may be accommodated in slips 23
through 32 but the channel only carries 5 ft. at low tide.)
Electrical outlets: 20 & 30 Amp.
Floating Dock Slips: Slips 33 through 46 can
accommodate boats with the following maximum dimensions:
Length: 29 ft. Draft 4 ft.
Electrical outlets: 20 Amp.
The outer docks are along the eastern side of the club and are preferred by many because of the sea breeze and the view. They are accessible directly from the ICW. There is a considerable tidal flow, northward on an outgoing tide and southward on an incoming tide. Many tenants prefer to enter and leave the docks when the flow is minimal. High and low tides are approximately an hour and a half later than at Ponce Inlet. Slack water at SYC occurs approximately two and a half hours after high and low tide at Ponce Inlet. The tidal rise and fall is in the range of three feet. Boats should be moored to allow for wakes from vessels passing on the ICW.

Monthly charges are based on the LOA (length over all) of the boat. This LOA will include anything normally attached to the boat when it is docked, such as the anchor and a tender.
