The Florida Council of Yacht Clubs (FCYC) has two Yachtsmen of the Year Awards for each coast. One is given to a boat owner who has visited the most FCYC Clubs by boat in a calendar year, and one is given to a boat owner who traveled the most miles in visiting other FCYC Clubs in a calendar year. These awards are given to encourage boat owners to visit other FCYC Clubs by boat.
In 2016, Paul and Genie Flynn visited 15 other FCYC Clubs and traveled 1,276 nautical miles in doing so. They were awarded the trophy for the most miles. This trophy will be on display in the trophy case until next year. Paul & Genie were also given a plaque an flag denoting their achievement.
