Bridge: Smyrna Yacht Club offers a broad selection of bridge playing events to fit the style of the social, occasional player, the serious contract bridge player, and the duplicate tournament player.
The Club has the only American Contract Bridge League Sanction at a private Club in this area. There are three certified ACBL Duplicate Bridge Directors authorized to issue masterpoints for duplicate games and conduct championship games semiannually.
Canasta: A social but competitive event and is well attended. Open to all members with cash prizes for the winners.
In 1980, the Men’s Forum met for the first time dedicated to the enhancement of fellowship among the gentlemen of the club. In the early 2000s the name was changed to the SYC Forum to include the lady members of the club as well. Monthly luncheon meetings are held with interesting guest speakers and are open to all members and their guests.
Two four day camps, Tuesday through Friday each summer. Activities vary each year and are always a sellout. Past "Kamps" have included Limousine rides to Daytona Lagoon and Aquatica, tennis, learning to sail on the Precision 15 boats, sailing on the "Big Boats," and the big water slide.
The SYC Ladies is an energetic organization dedicated to the improvement, beautification and refurbishment of the Club through the sponsorship of various fundraisers throughout the year. The proceeds generated by these events make it possible to support numerous projects.
Our newest activity at SYC! Pickle Ballers meet on Tuesday & Thursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. at the Tennis Courts.
Two side-by-side regulation tennis courts are available for use by SYC members and guests accompanied by a club member. The courts are well maintained on a regular basis and an automated ball machine is available for practice time. The courts are situated immediately adjacent to picturesque Indian River (ICW) and not far from the large boat dock area.
Meets every Friday at 9:00 am at the Flagler Avenue Ramp. Put on your walking shoes, grab some water and join us for a brisk walk on the beach.
